NEW COMIC ON THE RISE.

Hey there everyone, time for a new post

I started working on a new comic this past week. What you see here is basically the introduction to the main players of the story, it's a sci-fi western that I call Lo'Manco. I plan to publish this in the very near future as part of a small art book. So here is a peek of things to come.

CANADA DAY!

Well happy Canada day everyone. I want to start off this post with a book I recently picked up, Mickey Mouse and the Race to death valley by Floyd Gottfredson and Fantagraphics. This book is great classic strips from the 30's , I am slowly chipping away at it , and I have to say , I am loving every single page, Gottfredson is an amazing cartoonist, I urge any one who is a fan of classic comic strips to pick it up.

and I recently started a new sketchbook, so as always, Two face has to make his way into it, cause well I am obessed with with ..hahha...really I need help.

PUNK!

I haven't posted much on here over the past couple months, so I figured I would show some stuff Ive been messing around with. These are done in about 15 minutes or so, just quick doodles, with no ryhme or reason behind them, just felt like drawing punk dudes. Done with ink, ink wash, and watercolor.

Work in progress

for most who know me, I love old movies, and I prefer the original scarface starring Paul Muni, then the Pacino one of the 1980's ( don't get me wrong, thats a great movie ) and I love old school movie posters, they have great design elements and colors, so I decided to do a fake movie poster, using one of the old scarface designs as my template, but I replaced Scarface, with..of course, Two Face.

so far this is about 70 % done I still have a fair abit of work to do on it, but here is it , done with ink, watercolor and colored inks.

enjoy.

JOHANN

I would have to say , if I could pick any comic to work on it would have to be a Hellboy and or B.P.R.D title, and I would have to be able to use Johann Krauss, cause I just love drawing him. This was todays warm up sketch. I haven't drawn much in my sketchbook in the past couple weeks, so I am going to make more of an effort to do so over the next coming weeks. As usual, ink , and ink wash.

Enjoy!

New Studio

Just thought I would post a pic of my new studio, it's not quite 100% simply cause my girlfriend and I haven't fully gotten everything unpacked and whatnot, but it's still functional.
